Circleville, Ohio


Each year since 1903, starting the third Wednesday in October , for 4 days and nights, Circleville, Ohio turns into Pumpkin City, U.S.A.  Over 100,000 pounds of pumpkins, gourds and squash are on display.  Parades, along with rides, contests and entertainment delight the visitors to the Greatest Free Show on Earth.

Each year the Lindsey Bake Shop of Circleville, Ohio bakes the “World’s Largest Pumpkin Pie” for the annual Circleville Pumpkin Show.  Ohio’s oldest and largest festival, held starting the third Wednesday of October each year since 1903.

“The World’s Largest Pumpkin Pie” is baked annually for the Circleville Pumpkin Show by Lindsey’s Bake Shop, Circleville, Ohio.  Recipe:  80-lb. cooked pumpkin, 36-lb. sugar, 3-lb. corn starch, 13-gal. milk, 1-lb. pumpkin spice, 1-lb. salt, 12-doz. Eggs, 3-lb. pie dough.  Bake 6 Hrs. Cool 6 Hrs. and Serve.
